CATARACTS SURGERY
CATARACTS SURGERY
The surgeon makes a tiny incision on the side of the cornea, removes the clouded natural lens and replaces it with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). Your counselor will advise you on which IOL is best suited for your eye condition, depending upon your visual needs. Because the incision is very small, stitches are not required, and the eye heals quickly. Modern cataract surgery is a safe outpatient procedure that hardly takes 15 to 30 minutes. Hospitals have femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, which is bladeless, computer controlled and customized. The focus of our cataract and refractive surgery services is on quality outcomes, and patient safety and comfort.
1. Micro Incision Cataract surgery (MICS: No stitch keyhole surgery)
2. Topical Anaesthesia (No injection)
3. Optical biometry for precise IOL power calculation

5. Phakic IOLs for correction of high refractive errors
