Lung Transplant

Lung transplantation, or pulmonary transplantation, is a surgical procedure in which a patient's diseased lungs are partially or totally replaced by lungs which come from a donor. Donor lungs can be retrieved from a living donor or a deceased donor. A living donor can only donate one lung lobe. With some lung diseases, a recipient may only need to receive a single lung.

Heart Transplant

A heart transplant is an operation in which a diseased, failing heart is replaced with a healthier donor heart. Heart transplant is a treatment that's usually reserved for people whose condition hasn't improved enough with medications or other surgeries. While a heart transplant is a major operation, your chance of survival is good with appropriate follow-up care.

Liver Transplant

A liver transplant is a surgical procedure that removes a liver that no longer functions properly (liver failure) and replaces it with a healthy liver from a living or deceased donor. Your liver is your largest internal organ and performs several critical functions. Liver transplant is usually reserved as a treatment option for people who have significant complications due to end-stage chronic liver disease. In rare cases, sudden failure of a previously normal liver may occur. The human liver regenerates and returns to its normal size shortly after surgical removal of part of the organ.

Kidney Transplant

Kidney transplantation or renal transplantation is the organ transplant of a kidney into a patient with end-stage renal disease. Kidney transplantation is typically classified as deceased-donor (formerly known as cadaveric) or living-donor transplantation depending on the source of the donor organ. In kidney transplantation, a kidney from a donor is implanted in the body of a patient who has an irreversible kidney failure or end-stage renal disease. This is performed when the patient’s kidneys are in such a poor condition that they can no longer keep him/her alive.

Corneal transplant or corneal grafting or keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure which involves the substitution of a damaged or diseased cornea to reinstate and bring back full vision. Bone Marrow Transplant

A bone marrow transplant is a medical procedure performed to replace bone marrow that has been damaged or destroyed by disease, infection, or chemotherapy. This procedure involves transplanting blood stem cells, which travel to the bone marrow where they produce new blood cells and promote growth of new marrow.
